FEBRUARY 04, 2025, San Francisco, CA — Waterhouse Brands LLC, a brand reputation agency specializing in helping life sciences companies build competitive advantage from the inside out, today launched its life sciences communications practice with the appointment of Terri Clevenger as Head of Integrated Communications. Clevenger will be based in Boston.
Since its founding in 2017, Waterhouse has become recognized as the only boutique life sciences agency dedicated to working at the nexus of brand, culture and communications to engage investors, talent, and industry partners.
In this newly created role, Clevenger will build upon these core capabilities with public relations offerings and a team of financial and industry media relations, patient advocacy and disease education experts.
“Terri joins Waterhouse at a pivotal time as we expand to meet the holistic needs of emerging and fast-growth life sciences companies navigating today’s geo-competitive dynamics and the impact of AI immersion on their workforce,” said Kimberly Kraemer, Founder, CEO and Chief Brand Strategist of Waterhouse. “Establishing an East Coast presence and life sciences communications practice with Terri at the helm ensures we support clients’ complete stakeholder engagement priorities with a strategically curated, scalable offering designed to build market visibility and momentum.”
A recognized healthcare communications expert, Clevenger has worked across industry sectors from pharmaceuticals and biotechnology to diagnostics, genomics and healthcare IT. She joins Waterhouse from global communications and advisory firm, ICR Healthcare, where she built the firm’s PR practice and team, leading initiatives ranging from introducing start-ups to taking more than 15 companies public and supporting Fortune 500 biopharma leaders.
“I am excited to join the impressive team at Waterhouse at such a high-stakes time for life sciences leaders to harness the full power of reputation building as part of their corporate strategy,” said Terri Clevenger, Head of Integrated Communications. “Whether positioning a company for early-stage funding, entering the public markets or scaling along the journey from R&D to commercialization, differentiation is essential to engaging diverse audiences with clarity of purpose and consistent messaging to cut through the noise,” said Clevenger.
Before joining ICR, Terri founded and led Continuum Health Communications, guiding companies out of stealth mode and helping them establish their value among critical stakeholders. Over the course of her career, she developed and successfully executed award-winning public relations and advocacy programs for industry leaders including Myriad Genetics, Amgen, Illumina and Genentech, where she helped launch the BioOncology Division with the introduction of the groundbreaking Cancer Survivor’s Toolbox® nationwide. On behalf of The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, she created awareness programs leading to funding and partnerships with dozens of biotech companies developing life-saving medicines. Terri was named a PharmaVoice 100 Most Influential People of the Year and has served as a guest lecturer at forums including Mass Bio and the Kellogg School of Management.
